Championship Golf Course
18 holes of challenging, scenic golf in the heart of Maryland
About the Course
Architect Rick Jacobson designed the championship layout to test golfers of all skill levels. You'll play rolling fairways, strategic bunkers, and well-kept bent grass greens. Richland is one of the few public courses in the Frederick area running bent grass on tees, fairways, and greens — a surface typically reserved for private clubs.
Water comes into play on six holes, demanding accuracy and course management. The 15th hole, a par-3 over water to an island green, has been featured in regional golf publications.
With a 73.0 rating and 141 slope from the Gold tees, Richland matches the difficulty profile of Frederick County courses charging $120 to $169 per round. A dedicated grounds crew keeps the course in top condition year-round.
